Mental Fitness Skills

Emotional Competencies * Relationships * Performance
In 8 weeks, you can build new neural pathways in your brain and cultivate
mental & emotional habits to help you live a more satisfying life.
This is facilitated by both PRACTICE and TRAINING

PQ MODULE CONTENT in program weeks 2 through 7 includes:

Week 2

- Learn building blocks for redirecting your focus to what's needed, soothing emotional triggers and changing sabotaging thoughts to productive ones

Week 3:
- Recognize and reduce the power of your "Judge" (aka Inner Critic, Imposter Syndrome and others).
- The Judge fuels negativity about yourself, your circumstances and other people. Learning to recognize and neutralize your Inner Judge is key to performing and relating at your best.

Week 4:
- Work with more aspects of your Judge: the Accomplice Saboteurs. These nine common Judge variations can be fierce derailers to your personal and professional satisfaction, connection and performance.
- Even though they are helpful in their ideal manifestations, in most cases they can do a lot of damage to your leadership.
  • Avoider - avoids uncomfortable or unpleasant tasks and conversations. This paralysis escalates problems and/or anxiety.
  • Controller - everything must be done their way. Discourages and disempowers others. Challenged with delegation, often feels alone and overburdened.
  • Hyper-Achiever - can't rest on a job well done. Exhausts self and others. Alienates others with their extreme task focus.
  • Hyper-Rational - overly focuses on logic and rationality, with costs to relationships, stakeholders or company values.
  • Hyper-Vigilant - anxiety and worry about what might go wrong takes this person out of peak performance.
  • Pleaser - has a hard time advocating for their needs or for the needs of their team, out of a desire to not upset others.
  • Restless - an oversized need for fun and excitement can get in the way of work or achieving long term goals.
  • Stickler - perfectionism applied to everything—important or not. Derails productivity and discourages others who never do a good enough job.
  • Victim - may feel overwhelmed, helpless or resigned. Negative feelings hinder productive conflict resolution, accountability and motivation.

These are only examples. Your own version of these Saboteurs might have a different manifestation and different impact on yourself and others.

Week 5:
- Shift to the Sage Perspective.  Respond to disappointments, challenges and setbacks with resilience and empowered action.

Week 6:
- Learn to use the 5 Sage Powers
  • Activate — Skills in taking clear, decisive, focused and powerful action
  • Empathize — Skills in understanding and compassion for self and others
  • Explore — Skills in curiosity and open-minded discovery
  • Innovate — Skills in creativity and innovation
  • Navigate — Skills in aligning with values, vision and purpose

Week 7:
- Continue to develop the 5 Sage Powers

Every week:
- We'll weave in additional elements of Leadership EQ, as well as application to your individual or team goals and objectives.
Brain scans reveal ...
+ INCREASED grey matter in the HIGH EQ part of your brain — called Sage or Inner Wisdom
- REDUCED grey matter in the LOW EQ part of your brain — called Judge,  Saboteur, Inner Critic and others
